MindSmackTV Provides Sound Design for 2014 NFL Honors Award Presentation

For the second year in a row, MindSmack TV was requested to Mix and Sound Design the presentation packages for the NFL Honors Awards Show.

Members of the team producing the event reached out to MindSmack TV (several months in advance) to lock schedule and ensure that the MindSmack audio team was secured for the 3 weeks needed to complete the audio finishing they were looking for.

MindSmack worked on nearly 40 pieces for the show including; MVP, Offensive Player of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year and Comeback Player of the Year to name a few. Shorter versions of each profile piece were also prepared just in case the show ran long.

“One of the challenges of mixing the NFL Honors Awards Show is that the sound has to work both on air and in the theater” Although it’s difficult to gauge what it will sound like during the live show, MindSmack relied upon it’s teams experience working in similar situations to get the balance required for both mediums.

An editor from the production company said, “Everyone loved the way the packages sounded and MindSmack did an amazing job with finishing.”

The NFL Honors hosted by Alec Baldwin for the 3rd year, took place at New York City’s Radio City Music Hall, just blocks from MindSmack TV HQ.
