Nimble Division wraps post production on a music video for the launch of HBO’s 2nd season hit show “How to Make it in America”.
The video, starring Luis Guzmán, is a spoof of the YouTube mega hit “Barbara Streisand” put out by the DJ duo ‘Duck Sauce’ in October 2010.
HBO producer/director John Wilhelmy brought the project to Nimble Division under the creative direction of David Roofthooft.
“Our editor was chomping at the bit to dive into this one” says Nimble Principal Todd Feuer, “He is a huge fan of the DJ and club scene and is the perfect editor to bring HBO’s vision to life”. Feuer also color corrected the spot and said, “Finishing a piece like this is a ton of fun for me, although I did have a rather alarming dream about Luis Guzmán last night”
The audio mix and sound design were handled by Senior Sound Engineer Brian Rund who, “killed it” says Feuer. “He is a rock star,” Nimble Principal Mike Feuer said, “The mix and sound design were spot on and the subtle sound effects give it the polished finish that is a trademark of Brian’s mixes”
The completed spot was met with cheers and accolades from the production team at HBO – the video is now available to view on HBO’s YouTube channel and received well over one million hits in the first days of it’s launch.
A-List celebrity cameos include, Mark Walberg, Justin Bieber, Pharrell, Q-Tip, Melonie Diaz, Terry Richardson and Razel:The Godfather of Noyze.
The spot will air on HBO at a date yet to be determined.
